Frank and Fran's Hatteras Island Fishing Report- 07/30/2018
Sun came out today for a while and so did the fish! Whew! Unfortunately we're in store for another 1-3" of rain tonight, but hopefully, it wont put a damper on the fishing for tomorrow!
Rodanthe Pier had a pretty good say with Pompano, Spot and Sea Mullet all being reeled in. Avon Beaches saw Sea Mullet and Spot while the Avon Pier also had a Black-Tip Shark and Croaker. Buxton only reported Sea Mullet and Pompano. The bigger reports of the day came from Frisco and Hatters who reported Blues, Sea Mullet, Pompano, 17" Flounder and a 35" Drum!
Fresh Mullet will be here mid-morning tomorrow, shrimp bloodworms and your selection of frozen baits are always available!

Frank and Fran's Hatteras Island Fishing Report-07/29/2018
A bit of a more productive day with reports of small Croaker from Rodanthe pier. Small Blues up in Salvo. Here in Avon we have reports of Blues, Croaker, and Spot. And a report of Mullet down in Buxton with no report from Frisco or Hatteras.

Frank and Fran's Hatteras Island Fishing Report - 07/28/2018 Well It is turn over day here in paradise, which means very little fishing gets done. The lightening here in Avon didn't help either. It seems like the catch of the day on the surf side was Pompano, Sea mullet, and Croaker. Up and down the island. The best bait has been cut bait, shrimp, and sand fleas

Frank and Fran's Hatteras Island Fishing Report - 7/27/2018.
Well since we have had a couple of days of good weather, we have stopped construction on the ark! The fishing report was good today! From Rodanthe to Hatteras Inlet there were consistent reports of Sea Mullet, Spot, Pompano, croaker, Bluefish, and under sized Flounder. The Sound side from Avon to Hatteras Inlet was also productive, with reports of Red Drum, Cobia, and Speckled Trout.

We also want to CONGRATULATE this weeks winner of The Frank and Fran's Youth Fishing Tournament:
Zachary Marcinowski
Good job and tight lines Zachary

Frank and Fran's Hatteras Island Fishing Report - 07/23/2018

Its been one of those off and on kind of days where one minute its full on sun and the next its raining sideways, mostly raining! So that means that the fishing was also mostly off and unfortunately there is very little to report. Due to the rough conditions the Rodanthe Pier had nothing to report and will be closing early today. Salvo was able to pull in a few Sea Mullet and Puppy Drum both ocean side. Avon Beaches only reported a few Sea Mullet. Avon Pier closed at 2pm due to rough conditions and had nothing to report from the early part of the day. Buxton reported a few Sea Mullet and Pompano while Hatteras and Frisco both had nothing for us!

Still want to get out there regardless of the rain, we have Frogg Togg Rain Suits to help keep you dry!

However, here's to hoping for better weather and better fishing tomorrow! Until then, come in and get a new Chasertini cup and enjoy a cold beverage!

Frank and Fran's Hatteras Island Fishing Report - 07/22/2018

Well another beautiful day in paradise! We had rain to start the day, but the sun finally came out! The fishing is still a little slow, however it seems to be coming around.

The Rodanthe pier reported spot, sea mullet, and bluefish. We have seen trout and Puppy drum on the sound side here in Avon, however the surf has been slow. Buxton is seeing sea mullet, pompano, and croaker. By far the best fishing has been at the Hatteras Inlet, with Puppy Drum and Blues.

Remember we have a weekly kids fishing tournament that starts today and runs until Friday. Bring those little anglers in and get them registered.

FRANK AND FRAN'S HATTERAS ISLAND FISHING REPORT-07/17/2018

Today was a beautiful day but fishing is still slow. The north beaches were reporting blue fish. Avon beach saw catches of bluefish, sea mullet and a nice pompano at the Avon pier. South beaches had scattered catches of sea mullet.

Crabbing in the sound is great right now. We have all your crabbing supplies including crab traps, crab lines, chicken necks and even a recipe to help you cook your catch.

These cooler evenings are great for a fire on the beach. Stop in and grab a Blazing Buddy, bundle of firewood and a s'mores kit. Grab a flashlight for the kids and let them have a blast chasing ghost crabs. Get out there and make some night time memories on the beach!

Congratulations to Steve Lambert on his catches from yesterday. Thanks for sharing Steve and love your shirt!
