December 2017 Fishing Reports

FISHING REPORT - 12/20/2017

It was a chilly rainy day today but the fish didn't seem to mind. We had reports of speckled trout and black drum off the beach in Avon. There were also some reports of sea mullet. The trout were so thick and hungry that they were being pulled in cast after cast. The next few days should be nice so get out there and enjoy!

FISHING REPORT - 12/19/2017

What a beautiful December day today. We have not posted a fishing report in a while as there has not been much to share but today we had reports of lots of small speckled trout and some keepers as well as some sea mullet with one being measured at 20".

There is still plenty of time to stop in and grab some great gifts for your favorite angler or a gift card for that hard to shop for angler. We have plenty of rods and reels as well as smaller stocking stuffers available.

We will be open 6 AM - 5 PM now through 12/23 and closed on 12/24 and 12/25 to spend time with family and friends.

EARLY MORNING FISHING REPORT - 12/1/2017 - Wondering if you should come down and fish this weekend? The Avon Pier team said that yesterday was the best fishing day yet this year. Over 40+ big drum caught off the end of the pier and coolers full of sea mullet.

Here are a couple of pictures of citation drum brought in this morning. Richard Black of Avon had a 52" drum and Robin Crump of Buxton caught a 44" drum. Not a bad way to start the weekend!
To top it off, the weather is beautiful for December so come on down and get in on the action!
